Registration is now open for Father's Heart Catechesis!
For the Son of God became man so that we might become God.
The Catechism includes this quote from St. Athanasius (whose feast day is today) when it answers the question: Why did the Word become flesh?
This is theosis, the essential—yet often unknown—doctrine that Jesus became human not just to forgive our sins (as if that’s not good enough!) but to transform us and make us divine. This doctrine rests at the center of Father’s Heart Catechesis.
Father’s Heart Catechesis is small group catechesis that proclaims the relentless love of God.
This program will, at every level, proclaim God’s love for you and all people. It’s inspired by Pope Francis, centered on the mystery of theosis, and deeply grounded in the magisterial documents of the Church.
Father’s Heart Catechesis is for any Catholic who wants to grow in their relationship with God, who is struggling with their faith or with Church teaching, who feels like they may not belong in the Church anymore, or who simply wants to renew their love for God.Â
It’s also for catechists and parish ministers who want to experience life-giving catechesis in order to bring it back to their own communities.Â
Father’s Heart Catechesis has three different formats.Â
Online classes. Interactive, prayerful, and relational small group lessons and discussion—Not pre-recorded content that is simply consumed
A combination of online and in-person. Virtual lessons for parishes, schools, small group bible studies, or just a group of friends
In-person for groups who are within driving distance of Fowler, MI
The first online course will run from June 2nd to August 18th. Groups will meet every Thursday evening from 7:30-9:00pm (EST) for 12 weeks and the topic will be the Creed, the first section of the Catechism.
This course is $300 per person. There is also a $50 discount for catechists, teachers, and parish/campus ministers.
This fee will allow you to participate in the weekly classes and have access to a private online group where the community and discussion will continue outside of the classes.
If you’re interested in participating in Father’s Heart Catechesis, register now! Registration closes on May 31st.

Paul’s bio:
I live in Michigan with my wife, Kristina, and four kids and worked as a parish catechist for almost eight years. I have an undergraduate degree in Theology and am currently in my first year of a Masters in Pastoral Counseling program. I’m a retreat leader, catechist formator, writer, and a co-founder of Where Peter Is. My long-term goal is to provide pastoral counseling for Catholics who have been spiritually abused, counseling for Catholic ministers, and counseling education so that ministers are more equipped to help others in their ministry.
